Worth a Thousand Words

One of the reasons I am so facisnated with pop culture is how effective it is.  It can be immeadiate and powerful, particularly in the use of images.

As many of you may know, the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith has reprimanded the Leadership Conference of Women Religious in America.  In other words, the Vatican said "enough" to a number of activities by the largest organization of nuns in the US.  There have been many articles about this situation.

I have a good friend of mine, Linda, has posted on the Notre Dame blog about the pictures used in those articles.  I think her insight into what pictures they use and the nature of photojournalism is excellent.
