Merry Christmas!
"The Son fo God became a man to enable men to become sons of God." -CS Lewis
On this day, we remember how God became one of us to show us how we can become the best version of ourselves. He should us what it truly meant be human by living the most fully human life: a life of love, friendship, joy, and giving.
He came down to Earth so that He could raise us up to Heaven. Today, that line between Heaven and Earth blurs a bit and we can see the mixing of the two.
My prayer for all of you that is that this Christmas is filled with love, friendship, joy, and giving.
Or as Linus reminded us so many years ago:
Now there were shepherds in that region living in the fields and keeping the night watch over their flock.
The angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were struck with great fear.
The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.”
