Trailer Time: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

I wonder who is thinking that Eddie Redmayne is a suitable leading man for a franchise.

Yes, he won an Oscar.  But the movie itself was terrible and didn't gross more than $36 million.  The only movie he's been in that has grossed more the $100 million was Les Miserables, but he had very little to do with its success.

That doesn't mean that he can't do the job.  After all, who outside of Parks and Recreation fans thought Chris Pratt could headline the Summer box office champs two years in a row (Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World).  But I just don't see this with Redmayne.

Anyway, the teaser doesn't give me enough to get excited, but I'm open-minded.

Also, for a franchise that has, up until this point, unfairly maligned as border-line satanic, was it a good idea to have one of your only images be a woman standing in a pentagram?

Thoughts?
