My friend sent me a lengthy after action report.

I did see JP1 on TV over the weekend.

An hour and a half of CGI vanity shots before anything starts to happens.

It struck me that all that Look at This film making is just like all those old Tarzan movies with actors pointing to, or standing in front of rear projected, stock footage, which does not match the rest of the film. The heroine flees through a jungle while the lion chases her across a savanna. I think it comes down to if the flatness becomes too much of a drain. But for me, the movie cast its spell and I was entertained.Catholic Skywalkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16535454351177825954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3572719213313807865.post-69109670441002944662015-06-19T12:27:31.045-07:002015-06-19T12:27:31.045-07:00I was not impressed at all. The story was dull. Yo...I was not impressed at all. The story was dull. You knew from the minute you saw a character if they were dinosaur food or not. The trained raptors were interesting as was the final battle, but it was too little too late as they say. The best special effect was Clair running around the forest/jungle in heels! Yet, about a dozen people at the showing applauded. 1 and 1/2 raptors out of four.Brian Sullivanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13090250825241093641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3572719213313807865.post-90081686603811870812015-06-18T18:02:25.727-07:002015-06-18T18:02:25.727-07:00I would agree that the plot was a little flat but ...I would agree that the plot was a little flat but I found that I didn't care that much after the ending fight. Not that it made it any less flat, I just didn't care. However, I would like to argue that the raptors in JP3 were not simple monsters but had some reasoning (if scarily focused).Nicholas Resarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15492448966165684709noreply@blogger.com
